I’m probably not the only one that gets dry eyes due to involuntarily not blinking during a long gaming session. Soon it will be possible to avoid that situation.
Japan’s Masunaga Optical Manufacturing has developed Winking Glasses. They have a built in sensor that tracks your blinks. If you do not blink after five seconds, the right lens fogs over until you blink again.
The glasses are going to go on sale in Japan this August for $150. I guess that is the price you pay to have healthy eyes (and look like you are from the future).

Oh thank God! You know I have a terrible time remembering to blink when I’m playing a game. Especially when my eyes start to hurt really badly.
Seriously?
I didn’t even think it was such a big problem that you had to make technology to ensure you blink!
Well, I understand that it’s not for me and that there may be people who need it. But if you need it, then why not just know when to take a break from the game and spend some blinking time?
