Twilight Author Accused of Plagiarism

I love a good bit of bad news about Twilight. But then again, doesn’t everyone?
It looks like Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight book series (famous for its vampires, awkward teen protagonists, and popped collars) is being sued for a bit of plagiarism.
Jordon Scott, author of The Nocturne has hired lawyer J. Craig Williams to represent her in the trial. Scott claims that in addition to stealing character and plot points, Meyer also lifted several passages from The Nocturne and copied them word-for-word in her book, Breaking Dawn.
Meyer’s publisher, Hachette Book Group, has come to the author’s defense, calling the accusations meritless. They stand by the claim that the characters and plot of Twilight are entirely Meyer’s creations and that she never even knew The Nocturne existed.
Unfortunately, no matter what the outcome of the case, any publicity is good publicity. Twilight will become even more popular with teens and tweens everywhere, and book sales will continue to skyrocket.
What a world.

Just a case of two idiot authors coming up with the same lame crap, except one is about vampires and the other is about sparkling fairies who play baseball.
So which one is which, then?
I love vampires as much as the next socially maladjusted shut-in, but the Twilight books never seemed like something I’d like.
Queen Betsy books, on the other fang, kick ass. Undead and Unwed. Chick-lit, I know, but very funny with some great characters.
It was a jab at Twilight
