Escapist Games Limited has just announced that the finishing touches are being placed on the XBox Live version of side-scrolling shooter Platypus. The game was originally developed for PC by Anthony Flack, and has since been transported to iPhone and PSP. Platypus follows in the footsteps of other shoot-em-ups like R-Type and Gradius, except that graphically the game is entirely constructed out of clay. The game will be coming to the independent games section within the next few weeks, and looks to bring the experience to the big screen in a big way.
