Thursday Throwdown – Silence is Golden
Protagonists. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and creeds. The most successful of these creatures seem to be the strong and silent type. From Link onward, a majority of our protagonists have been mute or near-mute with fairly generic personalities. This can be used to great effect or detriment on behalf of the creator, depending on the quality of writing to flesh out the character. Two of the most recently successful of these silent heroes shall be our subjects for today’s Thursday Throwdown.
Isaac Clarke is an engineer sent to inspect the missing spaceship USG Ishimura in the 2008 title Dead Space. Throughout the course of the game, Isaac is hounded by a necromorphic alien virus as he employs kinesis and stasis modules to assist him in returning the Ishimura to working condition. Similarly, Gordan Freeman is a man of science, wielding crowbar and gravity gun while being chased by headcrab zombies and alien critters. This match looks like a close one, as both seem to be evenly matched in power. Who then, dear readers, shall be victor of this Thursday Throwdown?

Gordon Freeman. Crowbar trumps all.
Oh man, I love both these men in the most straight way possible. I would have to give it up to my man Isaac as reigning supreme in this throwdown. With his upgradeable suit and just overall kick assier weapons, on top of that he has space navigation experience and is of course an engineer. (Got to support my fellow engineers ya know.)
Oh man, I could have totally titled this pieace “Silence is Gordan” hohohoho
I have to chose Isaac Clarke cause of his awsome suit and weapons.
