With the success of Capcom’s Mega Man 9, it was no surprise that there would be another. From the trailer below you can see Mega Man 10 will follow suite and have the classic 8-bit look. You will also be able to play as Proto Man, utilize his shield, and of course sport his awesome cape.
When Capcom released Mega Man 9, the title met with great success and resonated with the Mega Man fanbase, offering up some of the most challenging gameplay that the series has seen. It seems that the fans’ cries of joy did not fall on deaf ears as Capcom has just announced that Mega Man 10 will be released in March of 2010. The title will be released for digital download on XBox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and Nintendo WiiWare. This time around, a mysterious robotic flu known as “Roboenza” is spreading across the globe, and it’s up to the blue bomber himself to battle the rampaging bots and uncover the secrets behind the virus. Could it be Wily’s up to his old tricks? This anxious gamer can’t wait to find out.
I am the ultimate Harvest Moon fan girl, and I cannot wait for Animal Parade (Wii) and Sunshine Islands (DS) to be released on November 10th. If you pre-order these copies, which I plan on doing this week, you will receive a plush duck for Animal Parade and a plush pig for Sunshine Islands.
We here at Geekspective love us some fighting games, if you haven’t noticed. Personally, I am quite partial to Capcom’s classic fighters. From Hadoukens to Hyper Combos, they seem to have the art of fighting games down to a science. It is for this reason that I have been keeping an eye on their upcoming Wii-exclusive Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Just today, they have released the box art for the January 26th title. We share this gorgeous art with you….now.
Developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts, Dead Space:Extraction is a new on-rails shooter set before the events of last year’s survival horror title, Dead Space. Released for the Nintendo Wii, the game utilizes the wiimote and nunchuk controller to allow players to gun down and dismember alien zombies from a new point of view. I recently got my hands on the title and gave it a run-through, but does this shooter make the cut?Continue Reading…
That’s right, Frank West from Dead Rising will be coming to next installation of the “Capcom vs” games, Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. We here at Geekspective loved Marvel vs Capcom 2 and look forward to this gem coming out January 26th 2010 on the Wii. You can check out the Tatsunoko vs Capcom TGS video after the jump, which includes some kickin’ music.
Gaugain, Monet, Picasso; there are many names in the art world that evoke the concept of a masterpiece. In gaming culture, things should be no different, and developer Vanillaware has proven time and again that video games can be masterworks of art. Their newest title, Muramasa: The Demon Blade is no different. Recently released for the Nintendo Wii, I picked it up to see if it stacked up to previous Vanillaware fare like Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire.
Earlier, I gave my first impressions on Little King’s Story, the Action RPG title developed by Cing & Town Factory. While Arkham Asylum managed to wrest my free time away from this gem for a little while, I was able to return to the title and see it through to completion. What has been created here for the Wii is definitely a title that should not be missed by any owner of the console.
Natsume’s Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming is now available for download on the iPhone. It is their first, and hopefully not last, iPhone title. Unlike other installments of the Harvest Moon series, Frantic Farming is an action-packed puzzle game.
If you are unfamiliar with Harvest Moon, it is a series of farm simulation rpgs. It may sound weird, but trust me, it’s are a very addicting series of games.
In what sounds like it’s actually some sort of elaborate April Fool’s day prank on the brink of September, Square-Enix just announced that it would be publishing Japan’s version of Activision’s Modern Warfare 2.
Why do you do this to me, Harmonix? Just when I think you’ve offered a bit of a reprieve from spending all of my money on your game, you go and throw out more amazing DLC options.
This week’s DLC brings us more songs from another of my favorite bands, the Talking Heads.
Today, Capcom announced that the next title in their arcade shooting “Chronicles” series will be shipping November 17th exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. Fans of the previous title The Umbrella Chronicles should find that this on-rails shooter will fill in a lot of unresolved plot points from the original. For those that pre-order the game through Gamestop, a “Let your Darkside out” t-shirt will be thrown in for free, allowing you to transform yourself into a shambling undead, at least cosmetically. Happy zombie hunting.
Let’s face it, games can get expensive, and times are tough for everyone. We’ve got to jump on a deal when and where we can.
Toys ‘R’ Us (which I was surprised to find is actually still in business) is having one heck of a sale on Wii and DS games beginning today. This ‘buy one, get one half off’ sale gives you a chance to pick up the Metroid Prime Trilogy (which you know you were going to get anyway) and grab that copy of Wii Sports Resort you’ve been eyeing, but with half the price tag!
